For this guide we'll be using a popular and secure wallet option for storing your Ether: MetaMask (which can store any token on the Ethereum blockchain, including Native). We recommend using the Brave browser; however instructions for the google Chrome browser are also provided.

Brave Browser

  1. Visit: https://brave.com/, download and install the Brave browser

  2. Once installation is complete, open the Brave browser and visit metamask.io

  3. A banner will appear asking if you would like to enable the MetaMask extension. Click “Install MetaMask"

  4. You will now see the MetaMask Fox logo (favicon) where extensions are saved at the top of your Brave browser, next to the address bar. Click the fox icon

  5. Create a password (Note: if you forget this password you might lose access to your tokens)

  6. A unique account image will be generated for you. Click “Next”

  7. Review and scroll through the “Terms of Use” and click “Accept” if you agree

  8. Review the Privacy Notice and click “Accept” if you agree

  9. Review the Phishing Warning and click “Accept” if you agree

  10. A Secret Backup Phrase will be generated. Record the backup phrase in multiple locations and click “Next”

  11. Confirm your Secret Backup Phrase

  12. You will then be directed to a page called “Deposit Ether”

Google Chrome

  1. Go to metamask.io and click the “Get Chrome Extension” link

  2. Click “Add to Chrome”

  3. Click “Add extension” in the pop up window

  4. You will now see the MetaMask Fox logo (favicon) where extensions are saved at the top of your chrome browser, next to the address bar.

Congratulations, you have now setup a MetaMask wallet!
